St James to take on Corofin in quarter-finals

The draw for the Galway senior football quarter-finals was made on Tuesday night in Loughgeorge, and it delivered some fascinating fixtures for the last eight.

The two ties that really whet the appetite are St James versus county champions Corofin in what should be a really exciting joust, while Tuam Stars, who had a big win over Mountbellew in the last round, will face Milltown.

The other two quarter-finals will see Killererin take on Micheal Breathnach, who are riding high under Seán Ó Domhnaill’s guidance this year, and Salthill-Knocknacarra taking on Carraroe.

The quarter-finals are down for decision on the weekend of the August 18/19.
