FLING, THE energetic Irish quintet who fuse trad, bluegrass, blues, and rock play Monroe’s Live on Thursday July 5 at 11.30pm.
The band plays tin-whistle, double-bass, banjo, mandolin, guitar, and drums/percussion, and sing in three-part harmony. Their influences include Planxty, Lunasa, Rory Gallagher, and Led Zeppelin.
Fling has played Electric Picnic and Body and Soul and toured Ireland, Spain, Denmark, and China. Last year they released their eponymous debut album which featured The Waterboys’ Steve Wickham.
