Over The Edge Writers’ Gathering

A FEAST of readings and the launch of a new poetry collection is on the menu for the June Over The Edge Writers’ Gathering at Galway City Library on Thursday June 28 at 6.30pm.

Reading will be Wexford-born poet Eamonn Wall, who teaches at the University of Missouri-St Louis. His poetry has been included in anthologies in Ireland and the USA. His most recent collection is Sailing Lake Mareotis.

Other readers are Tipperary-based poet Eleanor Hooker, whose debut poetry collection The Shadow Owner’s Companion was published in February; Tyrone’s Deirdre Kearney has had poems published in The Shop, ROPES, The Ulster Herald, and Crannóg; Galway’s Dave Rock has been published in a number of journals.

Also reading is Donna Potts, a professor at Kansas State University. Her debut poetry collection Waking Dreams, published by Salmon, will be launched on the night.

All are welcome and admission is free.
