CAVAN BASED outfit C O’Neill & Co will be playing Monroes tonight in a free gig. Since releasing their debut album Introducing last January, they have played in venues across Ireland supporting bands like The Sawdoctors, Whipping Boy, Big Country and The Minutes. Their album has been described as “a wonderfully ragged and whiskey-soaked release that’s full of dark observations and bruised and battered ballads” by Hot Press. On the back of their new single ‘June Madness’, they have launched a headline tour of their own. Doors at 9pm, tonight, Thursday June 7 at Monroes and admission free.
