Re-mix — Lettuce celebrate new city centre restaurant as another Mix Greens opens

Following the successful launch of Mix Greens eco – gourmet restaurant on Newcastle Road, Galway, in January of this year, Kieran Nolan and his team have done it all over again.

Serving freshly prepared eco gourmet cuisine, Mix Greens innovative culinary concept of environmentally responsible healthy fast food has been satisfying customers since opening its doors on Newcastle Road and now again, in a second city based premises located centrally on Lower Abbeygate Street.

The remarkable success of Mix Greens has shed a positive light on the local effects of the current economic situation as well as boosting employment opportunities within the city.

“We have been blown away with the response we have received in the past few months and hope to continue in the same positive pattern looking forward,” said Kieran Nolan, proprietor of Mix Greens.

Along with having introduced a new dining sensation, Mix Greens has also recently become the first Irish owned restaurant to achieve membership of the Sustainable Restaurants Association (SRA ). Mix Greens have been recognised as a Sustainability Champion from the SRA, for demonstrating outstanding, all round, sustainability practices.

Not only does Mix Greens serve environmentally responsible fine food, their food boxes are made of 100 per cent paperboard, which is fully biodegradable and their drinking cups which look like plastic, are actually made of corn.

Serving good, healthy food, fast, Mix Greens deliver a diverse range of dishes including traditional, Mediterranean, Oriental and Mexican. Mix Greens provide freshly prepared, made to order salads and sandwiches, as well as hot meals, such as, a selection of gourmet ‘hot pots’, vegetarian dishes, delicious gluten free soups, pasta dishes, gourmet burgers and burritos; and for afters they have an assortment of mouth-watering desserts and fair-trade coffees.
