Fine Gael senator Fidelma Healy Eames, has announced details of free taster classes to learn Mandarin Chinese and culture in Oranmore. The Senator has organised the classes in conjunction with the locally based China-Ireland Relations Committee.
The classes will take place on Monday June 11 and Monday June 18 at 8pm in the Oranmore Lodge Hotel. The classes will be given by Dongxia Zhang, who lectures on Chinese language and culture in NUI Galway.

The taster classes will determine the need for a course in Chinese come September 2012.
