New Citroen C1 launched with special offer

The newly restyled Citroen C1 has just gone on sale with launch offer price of €8,995, compared to the recommended retail price of €10,150 for the VT three-door version.

The five door VT version has a MRRP of €350 more at €10,500. And the new range-topping five-door VTR includes daytime-running LEDs, rear head restraints, front lateral airbags, body colour door mirrors and door handles as standard.

Appealing to a wide range of drivers, Citroen's New C1 is stylish, frugal — up to 4.3 l/100km (65.7mpg ) on the combined cycle — and practical, ideal for nimble about town driving. Yet it is spacious enough for four adults with a plethora of storage compartments. Environmentally considerate, the 1.0 litre engine in the new C1 develops 68bhp, and boasts CO2 emissions of just 99g/km, qualifying for Tax Band A (that is €160 annual motor tax ).

The new Citroen C1 has a reasonably good standard specification for a car in this segment, with the higher level VTR versions add day-time running LEDs, air conditioning, and electric front windows. Optional extras on the VTR include a ‘plus pack’ incorporating additional equipment such as tinted rear windows, front fog lights, and 14" Rift alloy wheels, and a Connecting Box (Bluetooth® and USB socket ).

The Citroen C1 is a sister model of Peugeot's new 107 and the new Toyota Aygo. They are developed and manufactured in a joint-venture between Peugeot Citroen PSA and Toyota.

Citroen tells us that it is celebrating the new C1’s launch by offering the VT three-door at an attractive price of €8,995, including a Citroen reward of €1,155. You can check out this offer on www.citroen.ie or at a Citroen main dealership. The C1 is also available at a 4.9 per cent finance rate from Citroen Financial Services.
