Founder of 11890 Nicola Byrne to speak at Business Women of the Year Awards

Nicola Byrne, CEO and founder of 11890 and Stenics Media, will speak at the Network Galway Business Women of the Year Awards on Friday May 25 at the Salthill Hotel.

The event begins at 7pm with a champagne reception which is followed by a five-course dinner. The awards will be presented by TG4 newsanchor Eimear Ní Chonaola, and the evening will end with music until late with Odditty, followed by a guest DJ. This annual event celebrates excellence and innovation in business. Previous winners of the Network Galway Business Women of the Year Awards have included Anne Flanagan of the Galway Oyster Festival, Liz Cassidy of Irish Time Design, and Hannah Kiely of HC Financial Services.

Guest speaker Nicola Byrne is one of Ireland’s best-known female entrepreneurs. She established 11890 in 2006, which currently has 20 per cent share of the directory enquires market. Ms Byrne is a board member of the Ireland-US Council and the British Irish Chamber of Commerce. She is chairperson of the Ulster Bank Business Achievers Awards and an Ambassador in Europe for Female Entrepreneurship.
