Volunteers needed Tidy Towns clean up

Volunteers are needed this Saturday for painting, graffiti removal, litter collection, and weeding in the Old Crane area, Sea Road, Dominick Street, and Munster Avenue.

The clean up is being led by the Galway City Tidy Towns and begins at 11am. Volunteers can register with the Galway Volunteer Centre at Mill Street or on the Glan Suas Gaillimhe Facebook page.

The business community will be doing a big clean up on Monday 14 where it is intended to have all the shop fronts washed down and fly postering removed.

Other clean ups over the next few weeks will include on the canals, the Henry Street playground, and Pump Lane on May 19. Graffiti at the entrance to the Galway bus and train station beside Fair Green will be removed by volunteers from Foróige. Volunteers are also needed for the above clean ups.
