Book launches at Over The Edge

GALWAY AUTHORS Yvonne McEvaddy and Rejini Samuel will launch their new novels at the Over The Edge Writers’ Gathering at The Kitchen, Galway City Museum, on Wednesday May 9 at 8pm.

Passion Killer is the debut novel from Headford based author Yvonne McEvaddy. It is a story of unrequited love, jealousy, obsession, passion, and murder.

Sylvia arrives home to find her boyfriend, Rick, in a pool of blood. In the course of their investigation, Detectives Barbara Molloy and Mick Naughton question the group of friends and uncover a web of deception, a tangle of love triangles, and plenty of people with motives but few alibis.

Passion Killer is available on smashwords.com, amazon.com, and amazon.co.uk kindle bookstores as well as in paperback.

Rejini Samuel has just published her first novel Heart Stopper under her pen name RJ Samuel [see Biblio for a review of the book].

There will be readings from John Corless, Elaine Cosgrove, Mick Donnellan, and Ross Donlon.

Australian Ross Donlon has won spoken words events as well as international poetry competitions such as the Wenlock Festival Poetry Prize and the MPU International Poetry Competition. His latest book, The Blue Dressing Gown, is published by Profile Poetry.

Mick Donnellan is from Ballinrobe. He had an immensely successful year in the theatre in 2011. His most popular plays to date – Sunday Morning Coming Down, Shortcut to Halleljuah, and Gun Metal Grey – have sold out across the country and received positive reviews.

John Corless’ debut poetry collection, Are You Ready?, was published by Salmon in 2009 and has been a best-seller. Elaine Cosgrove is from Sligo and lives in Galway. Her writing has been published online at wordlegs, minus 9 squared, and UpStart.

Admission to the event is free.
