New restaurant host appointed at Elwoods

Elwood’s Bar & Grill at the Forster Court Hotel has announced the appointment of Pat Lally as Restaurant Host.

Mr Lally, a well-known Galwegian, has worked locally in the hospitality industry for over 40 years and brings a wealth of experience to the Elwood’s team. Having also spent some time working as a sales executive for a well known wine company, Pat also brings this invaluable knowledge to his new position at Elwood’s.

Commenting on his appointment, restaurant manager Martin Padian said “We are delighted to have Pat on board, we have gone from strength to strength over the last year and the addition of Pat to the team will only add to this success”

Coinciding with Mr Lally’s appointment, Elwood’s Grill has launched their new menu with a focus on ‘steak and seafood’. Head chef Padraic Casserly says “We are so lucky to have the freshest produce on our doorstep and I am very excited to use only the best Galway bay seafood and the highest grade dry aged beef in all of our new dishes”. The new menu features many dishes from ‘The Grill’ such as ‘28-day dry-aged steaks’, mouth-watering ‘Elwood’s secret spice 35oz rack of pork belly ribs’ and a full selection of steakhouse burgers not to mention the ‘Baked Blackened Salmon Fillet’ and the ‘Duo of black tiger prawns and monkfish’.
