Chairman of the Galway Hurling Board, Joe Byrne, says: “We’re delighted to be involving all the clubs in Galway city and county in fundraising for themselves as well as Galway county hurling. For every ticket that’s sold, €10 will go directly to the club which has sold it.

“This event has great potential to improve facilities for hurling clubs throughout Galway, and will help clubs to defray costs they are incurring at the moment. We anticipate a large attendance on the evening and look forward to welcoming guests on the night.”

Speaking at this week’s launch, Supermac’s managing director Pat McDonagh said: “ With our sponsorship of Galway hurling running over 22 years, Supermac’s is happy to support the efforts of hurling clubs throughout Galway city and county. We are planning for an evening which can be enjoyed by all and hope there are many winners on the night.”
