THE QUITE Funny Table Quiz, a new departure in table quizzes in Galway, will be launched in Kelly’s, Bridge Street, on Tuesday.
The night, created by local comedians Kenny Gaughan and Danny O’Hanlon, has the same premise as a traditional table quiz; but instead of being rewarded for their knowledge, teams will be given points for funny answers alone. The answers will be read out by the MCs at random and if it gets a laugh, it gets a point. The team at the end with the most points wins €100.
Entry is €20 for a team of four, and there will be a maximum of 20 teams, so early registration is advised. The questions are going to be open-ended and silly, leaving plenty of scope for funny answers.
