IN PULP Fiction’s diner scene, Uma Thurman’s character Mia Wallace tells hitman Vincent Vega (John Travolta ) about a TV pilot episode she starred in called Fox Force Five.
“It was show about a team of female secret agents called Fox Force Five,” explains Mia. “Fox, as in we’re a bunch of foxy chicks. Force, as in we’re a force to be reckoned with. Five, as in there’s one... two ... three... four... five of us.”
Fox Force Five is now the title for a new exhibition, featuring five female artists from different parts of the world, which opens in The Galway Bay Galleries, Lower Fairhill Road (opposite the fire station and near Dominick Street ), tomorrow evening at 6pm.
The featured artists are Chilean Evelyn Susana Valdes Fuentes, Slovakia’s Maria Marishka Macaskova, Poland’s Inez Black, American Nancy Klein, and County Galwaywoman Rosemary Fallon.
Fox Force Five runs until April 30. For more information contact Galway Bay Galleries on 091 - 528897.
