SEANN WALSH, the comedian who The Independent has said “is well on his way to becoming a star” will play the Róisín Dubh on Wednesday at 8.30pm.
Seann is best known for his appearances on Channel 4’s Stand Up For The Week, for being a team captain on Dave’s Argumental, and BBC1’s Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow.
Seann’s style is observational comedy. The Scotsman has called him “a gifted observational comedian...a well rounded, accomplished performer” while The British Comedy Guide said “observational comics have their detractors, but there is still something special about the comedy of recognition when it is done properly and with creativity as it is with Walsh.”
He has also been nominated for a number of awards such as the Chortle Best Breakthrough Act Nominee 2010 and Chortle Best Compere Nominee 2011. Seann has also been listed as one of Dave’s top 10 stand-ups to catch in 2011.
Support is from Jim Elliott and George Fox. Monty will be DJing afterwards. Tickets are available from the Róisín Dubh and www.roisindubh.net
