Join ACT for Meningitis for a night draped in fabric, frills and fun with the first fashion show of the season to take to the ramp on Thursday March 1 in the Hotel Meyrick.
Hosted by TV3’s Noel Cunningham, the show features the debut of the latest Spring/Summer lines in Galway with clothing from Brown Thomas, Daisy Boutique, Kilkenny, Les Jumelles, Reidy Menswear and many other fashion outlets catering for men and women, young to old.
Modelling some of the fabulous creations on the night will be Galway hurler Ollie Canning, Self Help Africa’s Ronan Scully, and Catwalk models will be strutting their stuff in stylish shoes from Flanagan’s Footwear and dazzling eyewear from Oranmore Opticians.
The night commences with a drinks reception at 7:15pm. Grab your glad rags as there will be a prize for the Best Dressed Lady and wonderful gifts to be won throughout the night.
The event is sure to be a big hit with some amazing creations from the latest millinery sensation to come out of the West of Ireland, Mark T Burke. With fabulous hair being crafted by the Yourells Hair Salon team and makeup being mastered by the School of Makeup Artistry, the night is sure to give you the inspiration you need to step out in style this spring.
Organiser, Siobhan Carroll is very excited about the upcoming show, “It’s all about glamour at our ‘Strike a Pose with ACT’ event and much of the fashion on show will be amazing with many pieces getting an exclusive show on the ramp.
“It is a great way to have a catch up with your girlfriends and most importantly all monies raised will be a massive help to our work in ACT for Meningitis – which will help us in our efforts to raise awareness of the signs and symptoms of Meningitis”.
All proceeds on the night will be going to the ACT for Meningitis charity. ACT for Meningitis is a non -profit organisation based in Galway which was established in 2011 by Siobhán and Noel Carroll, who in 2008 lost their precious daughter Aoibhe - aged four to Meningitis. Since losing Aoibhe, Siobhán and Noel feel that there is an urgent need to increase awareness and educate people of the signs and symptoms of meningitis.
