There are encouraging signs of renewed confidence in the Galway residential property market, particularly over the past six months. According to Tony Kavanagh of Sherry FitzGerald Kavanagh Galway the company has seen an increase in residential sales during that period.
“We have concluded a substantial number of deals on all types of residential properties in and around the city, from city centre two bed apartments and suburban semidetached properties to large country houses,” Mr Kavanagh said.
Most properties coming to the market in the last six to 12 months reflect the realistic prices being achieved, and buyers are actively purchasing when they feel they are getting value. Property represents excellent value at current price levels, particularly with huge uncertainty over the euro and financial markets.
