Senator Trevor Ó Clochartaigh is hoping the public will see a lot less of him this year as he prepares to take on one of his biggest challenges yet – Slimathon Mhic Dara.
Sen Ó Clochartaigh’s New Year’s resolution is to lose weight this is why he is taking part in the Slimathon which is being organised to raise funds for Naíonra Mhic Dara in An Cheathrú Rua.
The Sinn Féin senator will attend the weekly weigh-in which will take place on Mondays between 6pm and 7pm in Acadamh na hOllscolaíochta Gaeilge, An Cheathrú Rua, along with other Slimathon participants.
The course will begin this Monday and run for 10 weeks. All are welcome to attend and personal information will be dealt with in complete confidence.
Naíonra Mhic Dara is due to move into Ionad Cúram Leanaí na Ceathrún Rua, a newly refurbished premises in An Cheathrú Rua soon. The Slimathon is being organised to raise funds to buy the furniture and equipment.
