Connacht players Tiernan O'Halloran and Michael Swift have re-signed with the province this week.
Twenty-years-old year O'Halloran, who made his senior debut in the 2009/10 season, will stay with his home province for another two years. The Connemara native, who was educated at Roscrea, has represented Ireland at u-18, u-19, and u-20 levels.
Connacht's most capped player Michael Swift will enjoy another season in his adopted home, much to the delight of the Connacht management and fans.
Said coach Eric Elwood: "We're hopeful to have Swifty back this week as we all know what he gives to the club week-in week-out. Among the staff, the management, and the supporters he's a legend and this contract is richly deserved."
O’Halloran scotched rumours of his departure from his native province, signing a two year deal.
“It is the place to be because I am getting opportunities to play and after my last two years with injuries I am very grateful to get those chances. There were a lot of rumours, but I was always focused on staying with Connacht.”
