ST ANDREW was a Jew and member of the 12 Apostles but this Israeli is honoured by Christians as the patron saint of Scotland and his feast day is a ‘day of mischief’ in Poland.
The Granary Learning Centre and the Galway Irish Polish Association will host an Andrzejki (St Andrew’s Day celebration ) event for Galway on Sunday November 30 at the Granary Learning Centre, 58 Dominick Street.

There will be Polish food, games, and prizes including one term’s free attendance at any one of the GLC’s many language courses. The event will be held jointly in English and Polish and all nationalities are invited.
The party begins at 8pm. Tickets are €5 per person from the Granary Learning Centre on 091 - 566759 or from the Galway Irish Polish Association through the Galway City Partnership.
