Tuck into Ireland’s wild delights for cancer charity

Taste the delights of Ireland’s wild game and fish at a ‘Gourmet Extravaganza’ in Athenry tomorrow evening in aid of Cancer Care West.

Pheasant, woodcock, snipe, wood pigeon, quail, guinea fowl, duck, boar and old favourites rabbit and venison will be served up at the event organised by the Derrydonnell and Athenry Gun Club.

The array of food to sample includes wild trout and salmon, Clarinbridge oysters and mussels, while one 14 pound wild trout will be the centrepiece of the fish display.

The Galway Game Hunting Association guarantees some other surprises on the night to ensure an enjoyable evening in aid of Galway’s cancer charity.

This second annual wild game and fish night takes place at Dan’s Bar, Athenry, at 7.30pm.
