New management and new departures at Kinlay House Hostel

Kinlay House Hostel in Eyre Square is one of the city’s longest established hostels. As well as being the largest hostel in the west of Ireland, Kinlay House has also been independently ranked the top rated hostel in Galway.

There has been great excitement in recent weeks as it was announced that this landmark hostel has just been taken over by new management. The new general manager, Frank O’Connell, has great plans to upgrade this hostel to an even higher standard. Mr O’Connell has said his focus will be on the customer. “All works we plan to carry out over the coming weeks and months are for one reason only – to improve the customer experience,” he said.

The refurbishment works will cover many areas ranging from new branding and signage to the latest IT and security systems. Mr O’Connell also pointed out his desire to keep businesses in Galway working together. Where possible, all contracts for upgrading works have been given to local companies.

Kinlay House Hostel offers a variety of accommodation choices ranging from twin and double bed private rooms, up to four, six, and eight bed dorms, depending on the size and requirements of your group.
