Milltown, under the guidance of Cathal Sheridan, defeated Tuam Stars on a score-line of 2-5 to 0-10 last Saturday in Tuam Stadium in the 2011 senior league final.
Milltown had good displays from Diarmuid Blake, who returned from the USA for the tie, Darren Mullahy and John Martin in defence. Damien Brennan did very well at midfield for the victors.
Michael Martin shot 0-3 (2fs ) and their crucial goals came from Mark Hehir and John Devane.
Tuam’s scorers were Shane Curtin 0-5 (2fs ), Jamie Murphy(0-2 ), Conor Doherty 0-2 and Noel Henry 0-1.
