Ardilaun wins AA ‘Courtesy and Care award for excellence of its hospitality

The Ardilaun Hotel and Leisure Club, Taylors Hill, Galway, was last week awarded with the ‘AA Courtesy and Care Award 2011/2012’. The award, linked to the AA’s motto of ‘Courtesy and Care’, is awarded annually to the AA hotel which offers nothing short of excellent Irish hospitality.

One of the key criteria of this award is that staff are true and genuine ambassadors for the hotel something which is abundantly clear at the second generation-run Ardilaun Hotel and Leisure Club, which next year celebrates its 50th anniversary. Employing over 120 people, many of the hotel’s friendly staff have worked for current proprietor and manager John Ryan and his family for many years and AA Inspectors commended the outstanding team spirit, passion for hospitality and professionalism evident throughout the business.

The resounding philosophy among the cheerful staff at The Ardilaun Hotel is that “nothing is too much trouble,” something which has deservedly won them a tremendously loyal following of repeat guests who liken the property to a ‘home from home.’

John Ryan, proprietor and general manager of The Ardilaun Hotel and Leisure Club says that as a family owned and managed hotel, The Ardilaun will celebrate its 50th year in business on St Patricks Day in 2012 and is very proud and delighted to have been awarded the AA Ireland Courtesy & Care Award for 2011/2012.

In addition to warm service from all the team and a tranquil setting close to Galway City Centre guests of at The Ardilaun Hotel and Leisure Club can enjoy an impressive range of amenities at the hotel including access to its beautiful gardens, the indulgent Avalon Beauty Salon and the dedicated conference facilities.
