Memory and weather in new GUH exhibition

A NEW exhibition, Clouds as Memories and Other Stories, will be launched by sculptor John Behan tomorrow at 6pm in the Arts Corridor, University Hospital Galway.

Clouds... by artist and printmaker Clare Henderson is an attempt to portray time passing with reference to instances that are only half remembered. The cloud prints are based around the idea of memories as intangible things, often changing, appearing, and reappearing on a course of their own.

The exhibition takes its inspiration from Clare’s time as artist in residence in GUH where she worked with patients from Unit 5 and 6 in Merlin Park ,as well as from the artist’s interest in weather systems.

Clouds... runs until December 11. For more information contact GUH , arts officer Margaret Flannery on 091 - 544979.
