This top showband consists of eight well known musicians who have come together with one objective, to take you on a trip down memory lane and re-live the music and dance of the showband era.
They all play in different bands around the country and are always listening to the feedback from the audience.
It seems that there is nowhere to go and have a dance to a live band, playing the songs people all love so well from the sixties.
Showband Knights intends to fill that void with some great nights of nostalgia and dance at the Salthill Hotel, and all going well they look forward to organising another fund raising night to help another local charity at another time..
Judging by the success at the launch of dancing to Showband Knights two weeks ago at The Salthill Hotel, where the proceeds were donated to Galway Hospice, a brilliant night was had by all and organisers look forward to bringing you the same enjoyment featuring more special guests..
Shaun O Dowd of ‘Ding-a-ling’ fronts Showband Knights along with members of The Philosophers ,The Millionaires, Rock N’ Roll Circus,The Raindrops, The Showband Show, and Galway’s own The Conquerors.
They are back on stage on Monday next October 31 and the special guest on the night is Ronan Collins (RTE )
They will will also be performing on Monday November 14 with dancing at 9.30pm — an ideal night for anyone wishing to have a rock’n’roll Christmas party. Contact The Salthill Hotel for details.
