Inis Mór is hosting its first Trad Fest this weekend. With just a short boat/plane trip to Inis Mór, you can experience a magficient weekend of traditional music and dancing and join in the music sessions in the pubs with acts such as Frankie Gavin & De Dannan, the Mulkerrin Brothers, and Dalta.
As Sean-nós dancing is a traditional dance on the island, the Cunningham family will display a step or two at the workshop on Saturday afternoon. That night the Céile Mór will take place in Halla Ronain and on Sunday afternoon there is an open air session at the Cross. The annual walk/run/cycle in aid of Irish Cancer Society will also take place on Sunday at 1pm. Patrons are urged to bring their costume with them and enjoy an extra night of a real traditional Irish Halloween celebration.
