Do not be alarmed if you see hordes of diminutive ghouls and monsters walking along the Prom in Salthill tomorrow (Friday ) - it is just a seasonal fundraiser from the children of the Claddagh National School.
The “Freaky Feet Friday” walk, which departs from the school at 11.30am, aims to collect money to buy much-needed reflective vests for the children.
As part of a campaign to secure a Green Flag for sustainable travel the city primary school is encouraging students to walk or cycle to school. Doing so with the added visibility of a reflective vest is a high priority.
All staff, pupils and parents are invited to take part and fancy dress is expected from all participants, young or old.
