THE NORTH Beach Poetry Nights will host the Connacht heat of All-Ireland Slam on Monday at 9pm in The Crane Bar.
The featured performer on the night is Cork born, Vienna based, Neil McCarthy. He has three chapbooks, numerous publications in journals, and been interviewed on US radio. He is set to move to the stage next year playing Dylan Thomas in a one off off-Broadway show.
Poets wishing to enter the October Slam should have two three minute poems. The poem for the second round must be performed without a script. There are 15 places in the slam, 13are still open. Poets interested can register by email.
