FRENCH CHANTEUSE Caroline Moreau and Lunfardia, led by Argentinean guitarist Ariel Hernández, play Monroe’s Live, tomorrow at 9pm.
On the night Caroline, who performed a solo show in the Town Hall in June, will perform songs by Brel, Gainsbourge, Piaf, and Piazzola.
These will be interwoven with compositions from Lunfardia, featuring a unique blend of traditional South American idioms with classical and jazz.
The Irish Times has called Caroline’s singing “timeless and unapologetically contemporary” and praised Lunfardia’s “mix of wry nonchalance and highly disciplined precision”.
