A charity fundraising golf competition will be held at Connemara Isles Golf Club this weekend to support the Strange Boat Donor Foundation.
The three-day 18 hole singles stableford competition for men and women begins on tomorrow and concludes with the prize giving on Sunday evening at 7pm.
This is one of many events being organized to support Strange Boat Donor Foundation in its efforts to raise funds for a national commemorative garden to organ and tissue donors. The foundation was set up by Martina and Denis Goggin in memory of their son Éamonn who became an organ donor following a fatal road crash in 2006.
The garden of commemoration and thanksgiving, called “Circle of Life”, is being planned for Salthill, Galway.
