Nineteen year-old Áine Dempsey from Bohermore is one of 18 finalists in the Simply Be Curvy 2012 model competition. The contest attracted some 6,000 entries from prospective models across the country, and after a series of regional heats 18 finalists were selected.
On October 16, Dempsey will compete with 17 other finalists to become the face of Simply Be’s Spring Summer 2012 catalogue. She will be interviewed by a team of celebrity judges including Ireland AM’s Sinead Desmond, fashion photographer Lili Forberg, Irish Independent fashion editor Bairbre Power, and celebrity hairdresser Michael Leong. She will also be trained by top model agent Celia Holman Lee.
Speaking about Simply Be Curvy 2012, Brenda O Sullivan, commercial manager said, ‘‘We received over 6,000 entries this year and had a very hard task to select 18 finalists. We are very excited about the Simply Be final this year. We have 18 gorgeous curvy girls from all across the country who will be battling it out to become the new face of Simply Be”
