THE BACKSTAGE Bar at Monroe’s will be getting funky when The Getaway Gondola funk band and DJ Will Softly take to the stage this evening from 9pm for Tougue.
The Getaway Gondola is an energetic eight-piece funk band who play both funk classics and original songs. The line-up is Barbara Vulso (vocals ), Declan O’Donoghue (drums ) and Alan Preims (percussion ), Charles Carr (bass ), Peter Akerstrom (guitar ), Marcin Plaza (piano/keyboard ), Stefano Muscovi (trumpet ) and Duncan Moore (trombone ).
DJ Will Softly has supported Nitin Sawhney, Femi Kuti, Alabama 3, and Asian Dub Foundation, and played Electric Picnic and the Garden Party.
