Mervue United are gearing up for the biggest double-header of their history .
The club has qualified for the play-off for a place in the League of Ireland first division, and will now meet the bottom team, Kildare County in a two-legged tie.
Coincidentally, Kildare County are now managed by former United boss Tony Cousins
The first leg takes place in Mervue next Tuesday Tuesday (November 18 ) at 8pm with the return fixture in Kildare three days later in Station Road, Newbridge.
Manager Johnny Glynn has already named a squad of 22, which will be reduced to 18 for these vital fixtures.,
Mervue finished fourth in the A league to qualify for the play-off, and were the best placed of the non-League of Ireland clubs.
