Roots/Americana gig @ Monroe’s Live

MONROE’S LIVE will host a night of roots rock and Americana this Sunday when singer-songwriters Tony McLoughlin and Ben Reel take to the stage.

Both men are from Ulster - McLoughlin from Co Down and Reel from South Armagh - and both are influenced by the music of Bruce Springsteen and Neil Young.

McLaughlin has four albums under his belt, including Ride The Wind, which was released in August. “A slice of powerful roots rock. Songs with a kick and some substance,” declared Lonesomehighway.com

The album was produced by Ben Reel, whose own roots-rock music also features touches of soul and reggae. He has played support to Jools Holland, Alabama 3, and Nancy Griffith. His most recent album is Time To Get Real.

Tickets are available on the door or through [email protected] and 091 - 583397.
