Antique dealers from all over Ireland will be at the Galway Bay Hotel this Sunday for the Galway Antiques and Collectables Fair.
Since the initial fair nearly two decades ago, this event has established itself as one of the major antique fairs in the country, with the Galway event on a par with other cities such as Cork, Dublin, and Limerick. However despite the enduring popularity of the Galway fair, the organisers have never been content to just maintain the high standards already established in the past. They have constantly sought to introduce a sense of freshness and originality to each fair.
In keeping with this there will be a number of dealers making their first appearance in Galway at the forthcoming fair. On the other hand long established dealers are always delighted to return to Galway and to the friendly and welcoming venue that is the Galway Bay Hotel.
This fair will gather together some 35 of the top local and national dealers and collectors in one location. The fair will have for sale a display of beautiful and interesting items including furniture, jewellery, porcelain, pottery, glassware, silver and metalware, coins and medals, and collectables.
The fair offers a very enjoyable way for all the family to spend a morning or afternoon together. The fair opens at 11am and closes at 6pm. Admission is €3.50 and free for children.
