Galway’s Hotel Meyrick hosted its very own Best Dressed Lady Competition last night during a glamorous post races reception where former Miss Ireland and model agency boss Andrea Roche crowned Mayo native Orla O’Neill the deserving winner!
Wearing a gorgeous navy Whistles jumpsuit teamed with a cream Zara jacket, navy fascinator and gold accessories, Ms O’Neill looked effortlessly stylish and her understated yet chic ensemble caught the judges’ eyes on the night. The fantastic prize, to the value of €4,000, included a beautiful matching Effervescence Star Necklace & Bracelet from Links of London, a €250 voucher for Kurt Geiger shoes, a €100 beauty voucher for Brown Thomas, a bespoke headpiece from renowned milliner Suzie Mahony and a pampering girly weekend break at Hotel Meyrick to the value of €2,000!
“I was completely shocked when they announced my name as the winner. I certainly wasn’t expecting it but I’m absolutely delighted to have won and be awarded such a fabulous prize. There was certainly a lot of competition but it was a great night and everybody made such an effort”, said Ms O’Neill on being crowned Hotel Meyrick’s Best Dressed Lady.
Eva Morrisey from Limerick was awarded a runner up prize for her beautiful fitted red Marian Murphy Cooney dress and a red and black Nessa Cronin Mad Hatter hat teamed with black Louboutin heels. Eva won a bottle of champagne and €250 Tote voucher for the Galway Races.
The event was a huge success with Galway’s most glamorous ladies turning out in their throes to the fantastic reception at Hotel Meyrick. Andrea Roche led the panel of judges alongside Brown Thomas stylist Lisa Lane and Galway milliner Suzie Mahony while piano man and vocalist Sean De Burca entertained guests on the night with well known tunes from Michael Buble, Elton John and Billy Joel.
