Philomena Lynott, the mother of Thin Lizzy leader and rock icon Phil Lynott, will be in Galway next weekend to sign copies of her book My Boy.
Ms Lynott will be in Easons on Shop Street, from 12 noon on Saturday July 16 to sign copies of the book and meet and greet Lizzy fans.
Hot Press books originally published My Boy, written by Ms Lynott with Jackie Hayden, in 1995. The book has now been updated and expanded, and has the new title My Boy - The True story of Philip Lynott and The Family He Never Knew, charting the life of Phil Lynott, Philomena, and of his brother and sister, whom he never knew.
The updated version of the book, again published by Hot Press, recently spent six weeks in the number one spot in the Non-Fiction Paperback Irish book charts.
The book has also received great praise with acclaimed playwright Frank McGuinness describing it as a “wonderful testimony of the bond between mother and son, My Boy knows Phil Lynott in ways no one else could, his strengths, his secrets and his sorrows. A book to move your heart and touch your soul, like the best of Phil’s music.”
