Enter the world of Silent

MCGOLDRIG ONCE had it all, but today he is homeless and has lost his mind. Yet through his fascination with Rudolph Valentino, he finds the courage to confront his past.

This is Silent, the acclaimed play from writer and performer Pat Kinevane which will be staged in Galway city and on the Aran Islands this month by Fishamble: The New Play Company.

Silent will be staged in the Druid Theatre from Tuesday July 12 to Saturday 16 at 8pm. Tickets are €20/15 from the Town Hall (091 - 566577 ) and the Galway Arts Festival box office in Forster Street.

Fishamble will be bringing two productions to Inis Óirr on the Aran Islands - Silent and Forgotten. Both will be staged in Áras Éanna. Silent will be performed on Friday July 22 at 8.30pm and Forgotten on Saturday July 23 at 8.30pm.

Forgotten is also written and performed by Pat Kinevane and the Inis Óirr staging will be its 100th performance. Admission is €10/5 and bookings are through 099 - 75150.
