Who Needs Enemies? returns next week

FRESH FROM a Buddhist retreat in the Himalayas, Eoin Hancock returns to Galway to draw a line in the sand, and escape from his self-indulgent lifestyle and party animal friends.

Unfortunately, those friends will not be discarded so easily. Late one Saturday night, Eoin’s friends arrive unannounced and uninvited to gradually chip away at his resistance and his sitting room becomes a microcosm of the cocaine-fuelled, hedonistic Ireland Eoin is attempting to leave behind.

This is Who Needs Enemies? Conor Montague’s hilarious play which is receiving a welcome revival as part of the Galway Loves Theatre mini-festival.

The play will be staged nightly from Monday up to Saturday July 16 at 10pm in the Nuns Island Arts Centre.

The cast is Mark Dooley as Eoin Hancock, with John Donnellan, Conor Montague, Ray Kelly, Ciara Brady, Roland Mupotsa, John Lally, and Nick Dowling. The director is Dara O Foglú and the producer is Kevin Healy.

Tickets are €14/12 and are available from the Róisín Dubh, www.roisindubh.net, and through www.galwaylovestheatre.com The show is not suitable for children.
