Students in transition year are no doubt aware of the great opportunities that this year has to offer. As far as French is concerned, there is no better way to learn and appreciate the language than to spend some time in the country.
For this reason, the French Institute is offering a three-week French language programme in the picturesque town of Auray, Brittany, specifically designed for transition year students. This programme offers students a unique cultural experience along with an opportunity to improve all aspects of their language skills.
The French Institute is Galway’s French language school, located in the historic building of the Bridge Mills in the heart of the city.
Its director, Brigitte Demay O’Carroll has 28’ years experience in bringing the French language and culture to Galway. In collaboration with Chantal Mallet, a linguist based in Brittany, Brigitte has been successfully running this programme for the past five years.
The Institute is holding an Open Day on Saturday, November 15 from 1.30 – 5pm where students and parents can find out more about the programme over tea and coffee.
