Jazz drivers are happiest for fifth year in a row

Honda Jazz owners, once again, have voted they are the most satisfied supermini customers out there, topping the small car class for the fifth year in a row in the influential JD Power Customer Satisfaction Survey 2011.

Honda tells us that it scored well across the board with strong finishes in four vehicle categories. The tests were carried out in both Britain and Germany by influential independent surveyor JD Power and Associates, in association with leading car magazines.

In both countries, surveys were undertaken in cars that were two years old and the cars were marked for overall satisfaction based on vehicle appeal (performance, design, comfort and features ); vehicle quality and reliability; ownership costs which include fuel, insurance and the price of service and repairs; and dealer service satisfaction.

The Honda Jazz came out tops for the fifth consecutive year in Britain’s small car class. Honda’s Accord, meanwhile, attained top place in the upper medium car sector in both countries. Honda Civic scored second in Britain and third place in Germany in the lower medium car, while the CR-V scored second in Britain in the SUV category for customer satisfaction.

Frank Kennedy, sales and marketing director of Universal Honda, said: “It is very satisfying that Honda continues to score so well in customer satisfaction in the reliability, value, style and performance stakes, and that the Jazz has topped its class for five years in a row is particularly pleasing. The reputation for reliability pays off when it is time to sell – Honda cars are proven to be trustworthy and so consistently offer one of the best resale values around.”

The surveys were undertaken in conjunction with Auto Test in Germany and with well known and respected What Car? magazine in Britain.
