Albert Niland to launch new album at Róisín Dubh

ALBERT NILAND, one of Ireland’s leading guitarists, is coming back to his native county to launch his new album in the Róisín Dubh on Sunday July 3 at 9pm.

The Moylough native was approached by former Windmill Lane studio owner Brian Masterson, who has recorded U2, Kate Bush, Mark Knopfler, Emmylou Harris, and the Rolling Stones, earlier this year, with a view to recording an album. The recording sessions were fruitful with Albert delivering 24 songs. The result is his new double album, entitled Albert Niland.

Albert was guitarist for Riverdance for three years and he has played support to Planxty and Moving Hearts. He has released the acclaimed album Dirty Day, and performed regularly at Paris’ L’Essaion Theatre, the prestigious Naked Song festival in Holland, and the International Guitar Festival in France.

Tickets are available from the Róisín Dubh and www.roisindubh.net
