IT HAS been seven years since Gugai, Kevin Healy, et al, took over the Róisín Dubh and in that time it has become one of the finest music and comedy venues in the country.
So what better way to mark their seventh year than with a party? It takes place this Saturday, starting at 8pm and admission is free.
And who better to lead the celebrations than the brilliant Jape, the solo alter-ego of Redneck Manifesto bassist Richie Egan? On the night Richie is bound to perform songs from his forthcoming new album as well as many of the favourites from Ritual and The Monkeys In The Zoo Have More Fun Than Me.
Also on the bill are Squarehead, Rural Savage, The Ralphs, Avalanche Ammo, guests, and some food. Meanwhile upstairs there will be comedy with Robbie Bonham, Danny Dowling, and Chris Kent.
