Hidden Connemara Walking Tours is a new venture run by an owner/operator based in Galway. Hidden Connemara Tours offers a range of guided walking tours of the Connemara region.

Connemara is a place of great natural beauty which has inspired many moviemakers, writers, painters, and singers. Connemara is a stunning patchwork of pale grey desolate mountains, rugged bogs, hidden valleys, breathtaking waterfalls, and shimmering lakes. At the heart of Connemara are the Maumturk and Twelve Bens mountain ranges, which offer some tremendous hill walking.

Did you know that there are three different types of carnivorous plants growing in Connemara? Or how Diamond Hill got its name? Or who built Kylemore Abbey? Let HCWT’s guide show you the hidden Connemara and share with you the history, geology, flora, and fauna of this amazing region.

Each daily tour is divided into a walk before lunch and a walk after lunch (approximately two to two and a half hours each ). The walks are chosen to suit the weather conditions and the ability of the group. All walks are suitable for anybody with a moderate level of fitness.
