IDLEWILD’S LEAD singer Roddy Woomble is taking time out from his duties with his band to tour and promote his new album The Impossible Song & Other Songs.
Roddy Woomble plays the Róisín Dubh on Sunday May 29 at 9pm and he will be joined by his band of Sorren MacLean (guitar/vocals ), Seonaid Aitken (fiddle/piano/vocals ), and Duncan Lyall (double bass ).
At this show, Wooble, from Irvine, North Ayrshire, in western Scotland, will play material from the new album, as well as from 2006’s critically acclaimed My Secret is My Silence, and a couple of Idlewild favourites thrown in for good measure.
Outside of music, Roddy is a keen reader and painter. He has appeared at the Edinburgh Book Festival and the Ayre write book festival in Glasgow. He is also a keen hill walker and supporter of Scotland’s wild places.
