Brewers on the Bay festival back in Salthill

The second annual ‘Brewers on the Bay’ festival will be held on Saturday and Sunday at the Oslo microbrewery in Salthill. The festival will feature the finest beers from the best microbreweries in the country.

In all, 14 microbreweries from across Ireland will showcase their best craft beers at the Oslo including, Bay Brewery (Galway ), Barrelhead Brewery (Dublin ), Breweyed Brewery (Offaly ), Carlow Brewing (Carlow ), Dungarvan Brewery (Waterford ), Eight Degrees Brewing (Cork ), Franciscan Well Brewery (Cork ), Galway Hooker (Galway ), Hilden Brewery (Belfast ), Porterhouse Brewing, Messrs Maguire (Dublin ), Metalman Brewing (Waterford ), Trouble Brewing, (Kildare ) and White Gypsy (Tipperary ).

This is the second year of ‘Brewers on the Bay’ after a successful festival last year. Select craft beers are made lovingly by Irish microbreweries and the industry has seen a huge increase over the past few years. Consumers are seeking out these limited, flavourful, chemical-free brews rather than the mainstream corporation brands. Brewpubs have increased greatly in numbers across the UK and Ireland and beer connoisseurs travel worldwide to taste the finest brews.

Ales, lagers, stouts, pilsners and exclusive one-off brews take centre stage at the festival. From chocolate stouts to banana beers, spiced ales and everything in between, there will be all types of tastebud tingling flavours for every palate. Beer connoisseurs, beer tourists, and beer novices are all welcome.
