A large number of flower beds have recently been built and prepared for planting. A street cleaning machine has also been recently purchased. The planting will begin on Saturday morning at 8am at the railway embankment and volunteers are welcomed. Clean up groups will also be meeting in the town square every Tuesday and Thursday after Easter for an hour, beginning at 7pm.

The Claregalway Tidy Towns committee is also busy preparing for another entry into the competition. Work has been ongoing over the past two years and the first clean up of 2011 takes place on Saturday at the school car park. It strongly urges all community groups to aid in the clean up and is asking that signage is kept to a minimum in the area over the next few months.

Claregalway Tidy Towns committee is hoping more volunteers will oin the effort. For further information check out the Facebook page.
