Galway hurling supporters are making a big push to encourage fans through the gate for this Sunday's National League clash between the current champions Galway and All Ireland holdersTipperary at Pearse Stadium (2.30pm ).
The supporters' club and team management are urging fans to support Galway in this last home fixture of the current league.
With current hurling boss John McIntyre claiming live television coverage has affected the numbers travelling to matches, hurling officials are now making extra efforts to attract support. This Sunday all u-14 hurling, camogie and handball teams taking part in Feile na nGael in Galway later this year will be admitted free to the game. In addition they will be allowed to bring four mentors with them. Also present will be representatives from Clarinbridge, Killimor, Ballinderreen and St Bridget’s Vocational School to acknowledge their recent wins in All-Ireland finals.
Feile participants are asked to come a half an hour before the game and enter through stile 54.
