Gardai in Galway are renewing their appeal for information following the disappearance of man in Oranmore more than a week ago.
Farmers, business owners, and landlords in the Oranmore area are also being urged to check their properties for any signs of an unusual disturbance and to contact gardai with relevant information which could help shed light on the whereabouts of the 33-year-old missing man.
Pawel Kowaczyk, a Polish national, was last seen at his home in Frenchpark, Oranmore, at 5am on February 15. The waste collection company worker is described as being 1.85 metres in height, of thin build, with black hair and blue eyes. It is believed that at the time of his disappearance Mr Kowaczyk had been wearing a black jacket, grey hoodie, blue jeans, and white runners.
His family are said to be very concerned for the missing man’s safety and gardai are seeking the public’s assistance in tracing his whereabouts.
A spokesperson for Galway Garda Station confirmed yesterday that the investigation is still on-going and that extensive searches have been carried out by gardai and volunteers on a daily basis, with a particular focus on the Oranmore area.
“We’re doing everything we can to find him, there have been searches every day but to no avail. We would like business owners, farmers, and landlords to check their premises and land to see if there has been any disturbance or any change, such as a knocked wall, and to contact us with relevant information,” he said.
